George Ruiz is stepping into the spotlight with a sound all his own — island country, where heartfelt country storytelling meets laid-back coastal rhythm. A songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, George writes and produces his solo music entirely himself, capturing authenticity, freedom, and the joy of a life lived between coastlines and open roads.
As the frontman of reggae-pop band The Irie, George has led the group through four national tours, shows in Mexico, Billboard and Apple Music charting releases, and mainstage sets at some of the biggest reggae festivals in the country. The band continues to evolve, working with acclaimed producer Matt Keller on a full-length album featuring collaborations with genre heavyweights The Elovaters and Katastro.
Through his label and production house, Island Riot Records (islandriotrecords.com), George collaborates with artists across genres — songwriting, production, melody and hook development, and artist marketing support — shaping fresh, dynamic sounds that carry both soul and groove.
